Industry in Chelyabinsk

첼라빈스크 인근에는 갈탄의 노천채굴장이 있고, 값싼 화력전기를 이용하는 전력 소비형의 산업(철합금·아연정련), 기계제조(트랙터·공작기·전기기계), 제철, 강관 제조업 등이 발달해 있다

첼랴빈스크 지역은 러시아 전역의 27%의 철판제품 11.4%의 철강파이프, 24% 의 파스타 제품을 생산한다. 주요 철강 회사로는 Magnitogorsk Intergrated Iron and steel works, Chelyabinsk Intergrated Iron and steel work, Zlatoust Intergraqted Iron and Steel works, Ashinsky Metallurgical plant가 있다.

주요 자동차 회사로는 UralAZ, CHTZ, Iveco-AMT, Terex 가 있으며 Chelyabinsk Forge and press Plant, Plastic Kedr, Treck 등의 자동차 부품회사가 있다.
