Land Aquisition Regulation

When concluding contracts on land located within an area subject to permission according to the National Land Planning and Utilization Act, permission from the city mayor, county governor or head of Gu is required. However, according to the Foreigner's Land Acquisition Act, this will not apply to cases of land acquisition reports completed by or permits obtained by foreigners, foreign governments or international organizations.

In principle, the Farmland Act bans possession of farmland by anyone other than those using or planning to use farmland to manage his/her own agriculture. However, owning farmland of less than 1,000 m2 in size for agricultural hobby or leisure purposes are permitted even if the agricultural land is not used for the owner's own agricultural management
